Bodyweight Blueprint for Fat Loss:

I bought this program a couple months ago. The concept is fascinating. Use your own body weight to not only build strength, but to lose body fat.

Here’s what I’ve found about the program:

First, it makes a lot of sense. The premise is to do a set of exercises using only your body weight. No weights… no gyms… no other devices. This allows you to do the exercises anywhere. In fact, they even have a “Hotel Workout” that you can do in the privacy of your hotel room when travelling.

The next thing is the structure of the program. There are three phases – each harder than the last. Each phase is 28 days long. Each day, you do only four exercises. For five reps.

You do the same types of exercises every four days, gradually increasing the difficulty of the exercises over the 28 day period.

(Follow me so far? It’s a 4X7 program with 3 phases.)

The exercises are designed to work your body in ways that not only strengthen muscles, but also train your core. And they apply a circular – rather than a linear – method of training which means you are working your entire body and increasing your flexibility as well.

I started the program as soon as I got it. I lasted 8 days before life got in the way and I just let it peter out.

That was a couple months ago.

I just started it again. This time, if I miss a day, I intend to just pick up with the day I missed on the next day. Otherwise, I would end up doing Day 1 over and over again. So far it’s working.

I’m down 2 pounds in 5 days. More importantly, my body fat dropped from 24.8% to 23.0%! And, I did miss a day. Life is busy this time of year. But the program seems to work.

I’m happy with the results. The exercises are challenging – but not killers. I expect they get more difficult as you progress through the program, but that’s a good thing. Because I know my body won’t change without more difficult challenges.

Overall, I would give the program a solid 8/10. I like the exercises. There is video to follow as well as a manual for each of the phases.

If you’re looking for INSTANT results, this won’t be for you. But if you’re looking for a program you can grow with… that incorporates flexibility, joint warm ups as well as a practical way to build strength and lose body fat, I recommend you go out and get yourself a copy of this program.
